Abstract

Nutritional problems among toddlers remain a major concern in public health,especially in rural areas. Low maternal knowledge about balanced nutrition can affectchild growth and development. This community service activity aimed to improvematernal knowledge through balanced nutrition education in Pasirkupa Village. Themethod used was community education through accompanied by pre-test and pre-post to measure knowledge improvement. The target participants were motherswith toddlers. The results showed a significant increase, from 33% (lowcategory) to 82% (good category), with an increase of 49%. This activity provedeffective in improving mothers' understanding of balanced nutrition. Continuouseducation is needed to prevent nutritional problems and support optimal child growthand development.
