PENGENALAN LITERASI KEUANGAN DALAM MENGELOLA KEUANGAN PRIBADI PADA ANAK SMA NEGERI 3 KISARAN

Abstract

This Community Service (PkM) activity aims to improve financial literacy among students at SMA Negeri 3 Kisaran, equipping the younger generation with the skills to manage their personal finances wisely and responsibly. Students' low understanding of pocket money management, savings habits, simple financial planning, and the rise of consumer behavior in the digital age are the primary reasons for this activity. The implementation method used an educational and participatory approach, including needs identification, financial literacy counseling, simple financial management simulations, and student understanding evaluation. Participants were 11th-grade students at SMA Negeri 3 Kisaran. The results showed an increase in students' understanding of the basic concepts of financial literacy, increased awareness of distinguishing between needs and wants, and a growing interest in planned saving. This activity is expected to have a long-term impact in shaping healthy financial behavior and supporting students' readiness to face future economic challenges.
