Bagaimana Memimpin Milenial: Tinjauan Teori Kepemimpinan Utama
Abstract
Milenial saat ini mengambil alih tenaga kerja global. Sementarapraktisi dan cendekiawan telah mengakui nilai kerja mereka yangberbeda dari generasi sebelumnya, penelitian tentang topik inimasih langka. Selain itu, teori kepemimpinan saat ini cenderungberfokus terutama pada karakteristik pemimpin tanpa memeriksasecara memadai gaya kepemimpinan yang paling cocok untukgenerasi milenial. Menggunakan tinjauan literatur dari jurnalkepemimpinan tingkat atas, makalah ini bertujuan untukmemberikan kerangka yang lebih komprehensif untukmemberikan arah baru bagi pengembangan teori kepemimpinandengan memahami perspektif generasi milenial tentangkepemimpinan. Dengan demikian, studi ini berkontribusi padaliteratur saat ini dengan menggunakan lima kelompokkepemimpinan tematik untuk mengembangkan gayakepemimpinan yang paling optimal untuk memimpin Milenial.Keuntungan dan kerugian menggunakan neo-karismatik,kepemimpinan dan pemrosesan informasi, pertukaransosial/kepemimpinan relasional, kepemimpinan etis/moral, danteori e-leadership dalam memimpin milenium dinilai. Hasilpenelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada satu pun teorikepemimpinan yang memadai untuk memimpin kaum milenialsecara optimal. Oleh karena itu, disarankan untuk mencampurdimensi kelompok teori kepemimpinan yang berbeda. Adapunaspek teori kepemimpinan, disarankan kepada para peneliti untukmempertimbangkan mengembangkan model teori kepemimpinanyang lebih fleksibel yang dapat mengakomodasi kelompokgenerasi yang berbeda.References
