The Influence of E-Modules on Students' Learning Independence in Biology Learning in High School

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of e-module use on student learning independence in high school biology. E-modules are interactive digital teaching materials that can increase student learning accessibility and flexibility. The use of e-modules is believed to encourage independent learning behavior because they provide easily accessible practice, evaluation, and multimedia features. The research method used was a quasi-experimental pretest–posttest control group design to observe changes in learning independence before and after treatment. The results showed a significant increase in student learning independence after using e-modules compared to conventional learning. This study confirms that e-modules can be an effective alternative learning medium to improve the quality of biology learning in high school.
