Abstract

SDIDTK (Stimulation, Detection and Early Intervention of Growth and Development) training is designed to improve kindergarten teachers' competence in monitoring and supporting children's development from an early age. The program assesses various aspects of child development, including physical, motor, cognitive, social-emotional and language, with the aim of early detection of developmental delays or disorders so that timely interventions can be made. Kindergarten teachers play an important role in the implementation of SDIDTK as they interact directly with children in daily activities. This training enhances teachers' ability to provide appropriate stimulation and identify children's needs, as well as collaborate with experts for appropriate intervention. Training methods involved interactive workshops and demonstrations, which included group discussions, simulations, and case studies, as well as demonstrations of correct developmental measurement techniques. Evaluation was conducted through pre-test and post-test to measure the increase in participants' knowledge. Results showed a significant increase in teachers' understanding and skills, from 65% to 95%, as well as higher motivation to apply the new knowledge. The training proved effective in strengthening the understanding and application of SDIDTK concepts in the school environment, despite implementation challenges that require mentoring strategies. Follow-up sessions and further training are proposed to ensure the long-term impact and effectiveness of SDIDTK practices at Insan Karima Kindergarten.
