Abstract

This study aims to develop an educational resource in the form of a busy book to enhance young children’s understanding of religious values. The background to this initiative is the current low level of children’s understanding of religious values, which is attributed to the use of learning materials that lack variety and interactivity. The methods used in this Community Service (PKM) activity include a participatory approach, teacher training, media development, observation, and direct implementation in the classroom. The busy book was designed to contain religious values such as daily prayers, the pillars of Islam, the procedure for wudu, and good behaviour, presented in an engaging and interactive manner. The results of the activity indicate that the use of the busy book is capable of enhancing children’s attention, engagement, and understanding of religious values. Children find it easier to grasp the material as they learn through play-based activities. Furthermore, teachers have also demonstrated increased creativity in developing learning materials. Consequently, the busy book is an effective educational tool for teaching religious values to young children in early childhood education (PAUD/RA) in a fun and meaningful way.
