Implementasi Pojok Baca Kreatif sebagai Upaya Meningkatkan Minat Baca Anak Usia Dini
Abstract
This study aims to implement a creative reading corner as a means of increasing reading interest among young children in early childhood education institutions. The background to this study is the low level of reading interest among children, which is influenced by a lack of engaging and interactive literacy materials. The method used was a qualitative approach employing observation, interviews and documentation during the implementation of the creative reading corner programme. The results of the activity indicate an increase in children’s interest in books, evident from the increased frequency of visits to the reading corner and their enthusiasm in selecting and recounting the contents of books. The creative reading corner, developed using various visual media, picture books, and educational games, was able to create a pleasant learning atmosphere. In conclusion, the implementation of the creative reading corner is effective in fostering reading interest among young children and supports the sustainable development of early literacy within the school environment. These results indicate that simple innovations can significantly enhance children’s early literacy in early childhood education settings and sustain this development through the habit of reading from an early age.References
