Abstract

This Community Service Activity (PKM) aims to enhance the competence of Early Childhood Education (PAUD) teachers in developing and utilising Educational Toys (APE) as a learning medium. The challenge faced by our partners is the limited knowledge and skills of teachers in designing and using a variety of APE that are appropriate for children’s developmental stages. The activity was implemented using a participatory approach through stages of training, workshops, mentoring, implementation, and evaluation. The results of the activity demonstrated an improvement in teachers’ understanding of the concepts and benefits of EGM, as well as their skills in creating EGM from simple and environmentally friendly materials. Teachers were also able to integrate EGM into the learning process, making lessons more interactive and enjoyable. The impact of the programme is evident in the increased creativity of teachers and the active engagement of children in learning. Consequently, this programme is effective in improving the quality of learning in early childhood education.
