Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) examined the phenomenon of technopreneurship development in Indonesia's local automotive micro-business sector. Technopreneurship, defined as entrepreneurial activity driven by technology innovation, has emerged as a strategic pathway for micro-enterprises to achieve sustainable growth and competitive advantage. The program focused on FS Smart Car Wash, a micro-enterprise providing steam car washing services, implementing a custom-developed Android mobile application to streamline service booking, payment processing, and business analytics. The program encompassed four key activities: (1) capacity assessment of the micro-entrepreneur and staff regarding digital technology adoption readiness; (2) custom development of an Android application aligned with business needs and technical capabilities; (3) comprehensive training on application usage and business management via technology; and (4) post-implementation mentoring and performance monitoring. Results demonstrated significant improvements: service booking volume increased 42% within eight weeks of implementation, revenue increased 55% during peak operational hours, customer retention improved by 48%, and business sustainability metrics indicated positive trajectory toward medium-enterprise status. Participant satisfaction with training and system usability reached 91%. This initiative validates the hypothesis that technology-driven entrepreneurship, when coupled with appropriate capacity building and mentoring, can effectively scale micro-enterprises. The research identified critical success factors including: user-centered technology design, entrepreneur digital literacy development, institutional support continuity, and ecosystem engagement. Findings suggest that technopreneurship promotion requires integrated approaches combining technology development, entrepreneurship training, and sustained mentoring.
