Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) focused on training and mentoring for parking system digitalization in educational institutions. The program aimed to empower school management and staff through comprehensive training on implementing a web-based parking management application. TK Daaroin, as the partner institution, faced challenges in manual parking operations, including inefficient vehicle documentation, poor parking space visibility, and congestion during peak hours. The training program consisted of three main components: (1) theoretical foundation on parking system digitalization and technology adoption in educational institutions; (2) hands-on technical training on the web-based parking application features and operation; and (3) ongoing mentoring and support for system implementation and maintenance. Participants included school management, parking staff (4 persons), and administrative personnel. The training was conducted over 4 days (19-22 Agustus 2024) with a total of 12 participants achieving competency certification. Post-training evaluation showed 92% competency improvement among staff, 89% satisfaction with training delivery, and successful transition from manual to digital parking management. The digital system enabled real-time monitoring, automated reporting, and transparent parking operations. This initiative demonstrates that effective technology adoption in educational institutions requires comprehensive training, hands-on mentoring, and ongoing support, not merely system implementation. The training model developed in this PKM can serve as a reference for other educational institutions seeking to implement digital parking management systems.
