Abstract

This digital financial record-keeping training for young people aims to improve financial literacy and digital-based financial management skills. This activity was motivated by the low level of understanding of financial management among young people, especially among MSMEs and start-up entrepreneurs, despite their familiarity with digital technology. The training method used a hands-on approach and emphasized hands-on practice using simple applications such as Excel and Jurnal.id. The training participants consisted of 60 young people (aged 18-30) from various business backgrounds. Evaluation results showed a significant increase in participant understanding, with 65% adopting digital financial applications in their businesses, and 39 participants successfully preparing simple financial reports. The participant satisfaction rate reached 85% for the clarity of the material and 95% for the usefulness of the practical sessions. The main challenges faced included difficulty adapting to the application (152% of participants) and consistency in record-keeping. This training demonstrated that a practical, technology-based approach is effective in improving the digital financial competency of young people. Sustainability requires long-term mentoring, refinement of materials tailored to business sectors, and collaboration with relevant stakeholders. This activity contributes to strengthening the foundation of young entrepreneurs in the digital era by increasing the capacity for transparent and accountable financial management.
