Publication Ethics

The journal Obstretika Scientia is a research journal in the fields of obstetrics, reproductive health and maternal and child health. Published by Midwifery Academy La Tansa Mashiro. This statement explains the ethical behavior (ethics) of all parties involved in publishing articles in this research journal, namely authors, editors/editors, reviewers and publishers.

This statement of ethics code for scientific publications is based on the Head of LIPI Regulation No. 5 of 2014 concerning the Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications, which in essence upholds three ethical values in publications, namely (i) Neutrality, ie free from conflicting interests in managing publications; (ii) Justice, namely giving authorship rights to those entitled as authors / writers; and (iii) Honesty, i.e. free from duplication, fabrication, falsification and plagiarism (DF2P) in publications.

  1. Duties Of Publisher
    Midwifery Academy La Tansa Mashiro, Scientia Obstetric Journal is responsible and committed to ensure that gratuity in any form does not have any impact or influence on the editor's decisions. In addition, Mashiro La Tansa Midwifery Academy and editors will assist in communication with other research journals and / or other publishers when necessary.

  2. Duties Of Editor
    • Publication Decision
      The editor/editor of the Obstretika Scientia Journal ensures that the research articles submitted are in accordance with the environment, publication ethics and are in accordance with the review input carried out by the reviewers.
    • Prinsip Keadilan
      1. Editors/editors evaluate manuscripts/articles that will be published by checking plagiarism.
      2. The editor will ensure that the article is in accordance with the scientific focus/scope of the journal, an article can be accepted, accepted with major/minor revision, or rejected.
      3. An article is rejected for publication due to various considerations, including because the article is not in accordance with the scope of obstetrics, reproductive health and maternal and child health, the scientific side of the writing is inadequate to be classified in a scientific paper, fundamental methodological errors, or because the author refuses to make suggestions for improvement given by the Review Team without a logical basis.
      4. The order of publication is adjusted to the order in which articles and article revisions are submitted to the editorial board
    • Privacy Statement
      The editor does not disclose any information about submitted manuscripts to anyone other than the author.
    • Conflict Of Interest
      Unpublished material disclosed in the manuscript may not be used in the editor's own research without written consent from the author
  3. Duties Of Review Tim
    1. The review team assists the editor in making editorial decisions and through editorial communications which are then forwarded to the authors
    2. Any manuscript received for review must be treated as a confidential document. Manuscripts may not be displayed or discussed with others except as permitted by the editor.
    3. Reviews must be carried out objectively with supporting arguments according to scientific principles.
  4. Duties Of Author
    1. The review team assists the editor in making editorial decisions and through editorial communications which are then forwarded to the authors.
    2. Any manuscript received for review must be treated as a confidential document. Manuscripts may not be displayed or discussed with others except as permitted by the editor.
    3. Reviews must be carried out objectively with supporting arguments according to scientific principles.
    4. The author writes manuscripts/articles based on accurate original research reports.
    5. The author writes down every reference used in the manuscript according to the rules of scientific writing.
    6. The author must ensure that the manuscript is free of plagiarism.
    7. Authors can ensure that manuscripts submitted to scientific journals for obstetrics and reproductive health research have never been published in other media, and are not being submitted to other journals.
    8. Authors must agree on the role of each contributor in writing articles and have previously agreed on the systematics of writing, main authors and co-authors.
    9. The author ensures that research activities are carried out according to a code of ethics
    10. When the author finds significant errors or inaccuracies in his/her published manuscript, the author has the obligation to immediately notify the editor of the journal or publisher and work with the editor to retract or correct it.
