Publication Ethics

Journal Aksioma Al-Asas Journal is a peer-reviewed national journal, available in print and online and is published twice a year and publishes articles or scientific papers based on the results of research in the field of early childhood Islamic education. This statement describes the ethical behavior of all parties involved in the act of publishing articles in this journal, including the authors, editor-in-chief, editorial board, peer-reviewers and publishers. This statement is based on the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors. The Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications basically upholds three ethical values in publication, namely (i) Neutrality, namely being free from conflicts of interest in publication management; (ii) Justice, namely granting authorship rights to those entitled to become authors; and (iii) Honesty, namely free from duplication, fabrication, falsification and plagiarism in publications

 

Duties and Responsibilities of Journal Managers

1. Determine the name of the journal, scientific scope, periodicity, and accreditation if necessary.

2. Determine the membership of the editorial board.

3. Define the relationship between publishers, editors, bestari partners, and other parties in a contract.

4. Respect confidential matters, both for contributing researchers, authors/writers, editors, and bestari partners.

5. Implement norms and provisions regarding intellectual property rights, especially copyrights.

6. Review journal policies and submit them to authors/writers, board of editors, bestari partners, and readers.

7. Create guidelines for rules and ethical behavior for editors and bigstar partners

8. Publish journals regularly.

9. Guarantee the availability of funding sources for the continuation of journal publication.

10. Building a collaborative network of research institutions and related agencies

11. Preparing permits and other legal aspects.

 

Editor Duties and Responsibilities

1. Meet the needs of readers and authors/writers and strive to improve the quality of publications on an ongoing basis,

2. Implementing a process to guarantee the quality of published papers,

3. Prioritizing freedom of expression objectively,

4. Maintain the integrity of the author's academic track record,

5. Delivering corrections, clarifications, withdrawals, and apologies when necessary,

6. Responsible for the style and format of the written work, while the contents and all statements in the written work are the responsibility of the author/writer,

7. Actively solicit the opinions of authors, readers, bestari partners, and members of the editorial board to improve the quality of publications,

8. Evaluate the internal quality of scientific journals regularly,

9. Support authors in taking initiatives regarding publication ethics by including a clearing form in each manuscript submission

10. Have an open mind to new opinions or other people's views that may conflict with personal opinions for the advancement of science

11. Avoid making decisions that are not objective in defending one's own opinion, the author or a third party

12. Encouraging writers to make improvements to their written work until it is worthy of publication.

 

Duties and Responsibilities of Bestari Partners

 1. Conduct a paper review and submit the results of the study to the editor as material in determining the eligibility of a paper for publication

2. Reviewers are not allowed to conduct a review of written works that involve themselves, either directly or indirectly

3. Maintain the author's privacy by not disseminating the results of corrections, suggestions, and recommendations to manuscripts made by the author and providing positive suggestions and input to scientific writing manuscripts.

4. Encourage writers to make improvements to writing

5. Re-examine the written work that has been corrected according to predetermined standards.

6. Papers are reviewed in a timely manner according to the style of the publication environment based on scientific principles (data collection methods, author legality, conclusions, etc.) according to what has been determined

7. Duties and Responsibilities of Author/Writer

8. Ensure that those included in the list of authors meet the criteria as writers.

9. Take collective responsibility for the work and the contents of the article including methods, analysis, calculations and details.

10. State the origin of resources (including funding), either directly or indirectly.

11. Explain the limitations of the research

12. Respond to comments made by bestari partners in a professional and timely manner.

13. Provide written information to the editor before withdrawing his written work.

14. Make a statement that the paper submitted for publication is an original paper that has never been published anywhere in any language, and is not in the process of being submitted to another publisher.
